Starting out working in practical farm management, Simon decided to move back to full time education at the nd of the 1990s, this is when he studied for an honours degree in rural Land Management at the University of Plymouth. Following this Simon went on to work as an Estates Surveyor with South West Water. 1997 saw Simon move to Wimborne to work for Symonds and Sampson where he initiated the estate agency department. Later, after 6 years of working as a partner in Wessex Surveyors, Simon eventually began Dorset Property Surveys in 2015 with Sam.
Having qualified as a chartered surveyor in 2005 Sam also has a Masters Degree in Rural Estate Management which she received through studying at the Royal Agricultural College. Having worked in both the planning and valuation sectors for many years until 2015 when she decided to join with Simon and start Dorset Property Surveys.

A little background on Swanage:
Originally a small port and fishing vilage, the town began to flourish in the Victorian Era when it became a significant quarrying port and a rich seaside resort later on. The town still remains a popular tourist destination. In history the town has been listed as Swanawic, Swanwich, and Sandwich as well as Swanage.
